Argument Essay (Due December 12) The Argument Essay will engage at least one serious theory discussed in this class, state the student’s response to this theory, and provide an argument that justifies the student’s response. Each student will select one of the options listed below. 1. Defend or reject the thesis that every human person will be saved according to Christian principles. 2. Defend or reject the theory that predestination interrupts free will and argue for which should be the case for Christianity. 3. Defend what Christians should mean by 1 Tim 2:3-4, “This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Students must state their choice of argument during Module 5. A preliminary thesis and bibliography is due at the end of Module 6. The essay is due by the conclusion of Module 8. The final version should be 1200  (approximately 4 pages). Submit Argument Essay Topic no later than November 20. Preliminary thesis and bibliography is due no later than November 27. Final draft is due no later than December 10.

Predestination for the way it sounds, it is the act of predetermining something. Therefore, predestination is the doctrine that makes people to believe that God already determined those who will go to heaven and those who will go to hell. It also teaches people that whatever we do in life, God had already predetermined it. The main point in this is that if someone does not accept Christ and follow the ways of the Lord, the person never even had the chance in the first place.
