Psychology major graduates will be able to:

  1. Analyze human behavior and mental processes;
  2. Analyze theories of continuing education in psychology and related fields;
  3. Evaluate theories of personality development;
  4. Evaluate psychology research methods;
  5. Demonstrate communication behaviors consistent with the study and practice of psychology; and
  6. Acquire and use skills and concepts that are fundamental to the ethical application of psychology.
Course Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Discuss methodological issues unique to psychological research.
  2. Analyze basic applied psychological research.
  3. Apply a research process in the development of a selected research component.
  4. Demonstrate an awareness of psychological career alternatives in a community setting.
  5. Evaluate contributions of psychological research in an applied context.
  6. Evaluate individual learning as it contributes to the overall attainment of Ashford Institutional Outcomes.
