In this Discussion Forum, you will start to critique the quality of a different type of research study. Read the meaning of a critical appraisal on page 347. In this course, you will use the questions in the various sections of your book to help you think through the strengths and weaknesses of what the researchers have done. Not every question will apply to each study.
For this Discussion forum, you will critique the research question, literature review, sampling method, design, and data collection in the article below.
Person #3 will read pages 285-286 (Data collection) and answer questions 4, 5, and 6 on page 349 in the “Data Collection Methods and Procedures” section.

You can read sample critiques on pages 373-376 and pages 387-390. This will give you an idea of what to say in a critique.
