Racial and Gender Conflict in Sports
Full Question: ***The longest-standing social problems in United States have been that of race and gender, and racial and gender conflict. Using the lives of Jackie Robinson, Billie Jean King, and Michael Jordan, explain how racial and gender conflict manifested themselves in American sports. Please include these elements: the business of sports, the impact of media communications (print, radio, and television), and the role of federal, state, and municipal governments.
Requirements:
- 1. The essay must be a minimumof five pages in length (approximately 1,350 words), typewritten and double spaced. Students can write more if they choose to do so. The essay must be done in 12-point, Times New Roman, and the margins must be 1.25 inches on both sides, and 1 inch on the top and bottom. Type your name, date, and course listing (HIS 211-SL1), in the upper right-hand corner of the first page.
*Whatever word processing program is used, students are responsible for submitting the essay with the required point size, font, and page margins. Once the essay is finished, attach the document into the proper online course section (Module 8: “Submit Final Paper Here.”). Please submit the paper in either a .rtf format or a .doc format.

*Paragraphs two through eight: Put forth the evidence to support your thesis. Your essay must be comprehensive and chronological. Thus, your thesis must be supported by evidence or examples from each of the content modules (one through seven). Please cite material from both textbooks and, as in the posts, use the parenthetical method of citation. Only cite material from the two textbooks assigned for this class.
*Paragraph eight: Your conclusion should summarize your argument and explicitly and accurately incorporate two of the five course themes.
