According to (Bowen, 2010), it is commonly held view that religion has a particular association with violence. At a distance they look like a conventional chair and normal tree. Move closer and it becomes obvious that the chair would offer little comfort and the tree little shade. Many of those working for peace carry out their craft beyond the glare of publicity. Commonly their work does not make the news headlines, being slow, painstaking and complex. Some are not paid for their efforts; others do not even recognize that they are helping to build peace in their own local situations…
