Research Components of Performance Appraisals and Usefulness towards Motivation and the Success of Organizations. Managers rely on various tools to ensure that the employees work effectively and that the employees are suited to perform their roles in the achievement of the goals of the organization. One of the tools is performance appraisals. Performance appraisals are processes that involve raters evaluating the performance of employees in various capacities. Therefore, during performance appraisals, the examiners observe, evaluate and interact with the performance of people. The aspects of appraisals are usually documented on forms. After the appraisal, the raters conduct meetings with the employees and convey the results of their appraisals to them. Usually, appraisals take into account the goals of organizations and departments, set the next appraisal period and identify weaknesses and strengths of the employees. After the evaluations, employees understand where they need to improve their work and where their performance was according to the goals for the appraisal period. Performance appraisals have principles that are similar to scientific research. The use of methods similar to those of research make the evaluations fair and are therefore important in the enhancement of the motivation of employees to perform well in their positions……….
