This activity is designed to help you begin planning your first draft of the Recommendation Report:
- Review the Recommendation Report assignment sheet and Chapter 7 of Technical Communication, “Organizing Your Information.”
- Compose an outline of your report. In addition to the required sections on the assignment sheet, include details under each section. Optional: Include information about the organizational patterns you plan to use somewhere in your outline. Organizational patterns are discussed in Chapter 7.
Our textbook does not go into detail about how to create an outline. Instead, can look to the Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) for help (in addition to me, Dr. Petts!). The following sections at this link may be helpful.
