In an 8-10 page paper (excluding title page, reference page and appendix) present a reflective paper on the feasibility of an original business idea and business model by using a screening inventory. 5-7 peer reviewed resources are to be used. Note: this is not a business plan. The paper should include a screening inventory with supporting rationale on the following elements:
- Original business idea (specific idea to meet unmet need)
- Description of service or product (overview)
- Value Proposition (how will need be met)
- Business Model (what criteria supports the model selected)
- Market Size and Growth (large enough market potential for venture to be profitable; potential for growth)
- Competitive Advantages (what will make the venture stand out among competitors within industry)
- Management (skills of entrepreneur and team to develop venture)
- Revenue/ Growth Projections (how long will it take to be financially viable)
- Financing Requirements (financing requirements to begin operations)
- Summary (identification of specific supporting information that will enable the potential of the business idea to develop into a viable venture and overcome any risks)
Writing the Final Project Paper
The Final Paper:
- Must be eight- to ten- double-spaced pages in length and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the approved APA style guide.
- Must include a cover page that includes:
- Student’s name
- Course name and number
- Title of paper
- Instructor’s name
- Date submitted
- Must include an introductory paragraph with a succinct thesis statement.
- Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
- Must conclude with a restatement of the thesis and a conclusion paragraph.
- Must use at least five professional resources, including a minimum of two from ProQuest Entrepreneurship.
- Must use APA style as outlined in the approved APA style guide to document all sources.
- Must include, on the final page, a Reference Page that is completed according to APA style as outlined in the approved APA style guide.

Original business idea
An Original business idea is meant to meet unmet needs in the society (Allen, 2012). My business idea entails opening an investigation business and process serving business. The fact that Iam a police detective implies my interests in giving services involving private investigation. I have also noted that there are inadequate detectives that are working for the department of police. They are not enough for the purpose of investigation. Investigation would entail looking for missing persons, cold cases and also the investigation on transgression crimes. I have also realized that there are additional things that individuals want investigated on that the police department is not in a position to. Such things may not be of criminal nature but are in form of misdemeanors. I therefore felt that there was the need for the starting of a private investigation business. The employees would be targeted on the retired officials and investigators in the police department. This is because they have the required expertise in matters of investigation. The retired investigators and officials have the required training requirements and may just need a refresher to perform duties effectively and efficiently. It is also noteworthy to employ such individuals on a contract basis. The other aspect is on process serving. Since law enforcement officers are trained to know their areas and the nature of the neighborhoods, they will be in a position to perform this effectively……………..
