Short-term Memory

Short-term memory can be defined as the brain’s system that store information for a short duration of time. It is the temporary storage system for incoming information. It is also referred to as active or primary memory. There is a limited ability for the brain’s storage of short-term items. It averagely stores seven items. Short-term memory loss is experienced when an individual is not capable of remembering incidences that that took place twenty minutes prior.  Various factors cause short-term memory loss.
