This 4pg essay allows you to identify, and then reflect on, in social psychological terms, a theme that you can see addressed in some way by all of the following texts: Neil Postmans “Amusing Ourselves to Death”, Aldous Huxleys “A Brave New World, Brave New World Revisited” and RenataSalecl’s “Tyranny of Choice” The opportunity here is to identify a significant theme that occurs in each of the texts, one that may be stated directly, or perhaps derived by implication. First identify that that theme is, drawing only minimally on quoted materials, relying primarily on your own words (though be sure to cite page numbers in each text where that theme can be found. Then probe the ways in which the text approach that theme, noting similarities as well as differences. Finally, reflect on the relevance of this theme to your own thoughts/reflection.
