So far in your program you have had an opportunity to do the following:

• Identify gaps in some of the core knowledge areas. It will be important to reduce or eliminate these gaps given your chosen career aspirations.
• Identify specific leadership skills that you wish to develop further.
• Create, monitor, share, and revise both long- and short-term career goals.
• Create and revise a Leadership Development Plan (LDP) that captures your goals and priorities, the specific actions you chose to advance your knowledge and skills, and your major accomplishments during this academic journey.

The gap analysis is an assessment tool that afforded me a chance to learn certain aspects of my skill development that need improvements. One of the key lessons learned from the exercise is the need for me to participate in programs that would improve my ability to identify scientific information for dealing with issues. Although this depth of this gap has reduced after the initial assessment, the challenges that I currently experience with developing accurate forecasts for strategic decisions is evidence of the amount of work that is needed to raise this competence to a minimum score of 6. Also, the completion of the exercise provided insights into the strengths that would contribute to the attainment of my personal and professional goals. In this regard, the above average scores in the creation of persuasive memos that highlight my articulateness and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential in any industry. Similarly, this capability is reflected in the development of strategic ideas, production of a winning marketing plan and the identification and analysis of new business opportunities and the growth potential of innovative projects……….
