While creating independence, it is critical that the teacher exhibits behavior that ensures that he or she does not reinforce helplessness among the learners. Giving too much attention to the learners’ dependence could result in a learner who is incapable of engaging in different activities without assistance from the teacher, which culminates in chronic dependence (Jones, 2007). Whenever the learners involved in this case are of the lowest grades in school, then extensive dependence could end up affecting their entire academic process. Therefore, exhibiting a firm control on the class and prompting learners to act independently would aid in development of independence among them…………………….
