In the United States, the lead organization or agency that is charged with investigating terrorist organizations is known as the FBI. Also known in full as the federal Bureau of Investigations, the FBI is the lead organization although there are other departments in Homeland Security that may provide a lot of information which may be observed to be a form of support towards topping any terrorist attacks and threat from being realized.
