The Blue Veil was a painting by Morris Louis painted between 1958 and 1959. It represents a work of art in which the audience could view the art as being simply a representation of a subject that the artist found interesting, without any additional abstract meanings of the art. Found on page 117 of the text, I found the art especially interesting since I did not find meaning in the supposed veil that the art ought to be representative of, based on its name. Additionally, formalist critics of art in the period especially took interest in this piece of work as it included no additional meaning as the audience could not easily recognize…………
