The cover letter

For this assignment you will write a cover letter to support the resume you created in Unit 2 and Unit 3. The cover letter is equally as important as the resume. Your cover letter to a prospective employer can secure the interview or get your resume placed in the “not under consideration” pile. Your cover letter needs to grab the reader’s attention and make them want to view your resume. When you are writing your cover letter, READ the job posting, see what the employer wants for the position, and put those words in your cover letter. Be sure your cover letter focuses on the specific job listing you included in your Unit 2 Assignment.

Your cover letter should be free of grammatical errors and clearly written.
