the racial discrimination that happens in the United States of America

Racial Discrimination

When I was in New York last month, I looked for the most important stories that turned into movies and series. I found many and I focused specifically on the stories that happened in New York because I was there for about a month. I found a series called “When They See Us” which is based on a true story and linked this title to the title of the book required for this class. By watching this movie, I became more aware of the racial discrimination that happens in the United States of America and how white people want to be right with them even if there are +++++++and slander on others. This story revolves around the injustice of four young African Americans and one Mexican who were arrested and charged unjustly and deceived only because the victim was a white woman. After 15 years they were proven innocent of that crime, but my question here is how will the oppressed return to compensate for their unjust life in prison? When I read a book called Why Are They Angry with Us, it dawned on me the extent of this distinction from earlier. Many crimes related to racism and the lack of social justice towards minorities took place in the United States of America, the most recent of which happened to George Floyd this year. In that case, the policemen claimed that they were seeking to immobilize a suspect in order to arrest him, even though the suspect was not armed, and the suspicions of a misdemeanor were ridiculous. Racism sometimes outweighs claims of freedom and discrimination is the cause and effect. The color of your skin is an unspoken accusation, and you may be convicted, tried, and executed, sometimes in the street, and maybe even under the feet of the police.

It is possible that the racial prejudice that occurs is a trait of race. Whereas, whites interpret what comes from them as behaviors that are nothing, but a given, which does not make them think of those behaviors. (Davis, 2016).  For example, when American society makes a decision to make social equality between society, whites will feel inferior and that this is not used to it and that it is their privileges, such as riding buses and important positions and jobs (Davis, 2016).
