The Acropolis rock is considered part of a Cretaceous rock which cuts across the Attica Plateau in the southwest and northeast axis. The areas covered by this rock include; Philopappos, Likavitos and Pnyx hills. This rock is believed to rise to about 70 meters above the sea level and has a flat top of 150 meters wide and 300 meters long.
