If you can come up with your own subtitles, that would be great. However if you can’t, the requirements are the following sub-headings:

  • Historical background (Describe what was going on in Germany during the creation of the film)
  • Key themes (What is the content of the film-what broad themes or subjects does it address?)
  • Film Techniques(Describe some of the ways how the film has been shot, and the effect of these techniques on the viewer)
  • Reflection on Nazi Germany( Describe how the film reflects on Nazi Germany- does it show Nazi Germany in a good light? If so, how does it do this?)
  • Documentary or Propaganda (Comment upon whether the film should be seen as simply a documentary on the Nazi’s and what they believe- or a propaganda film that had the express intention to convince people of the supposed merits of the Nazi cause)

As a general rule, you need to aim to write around 150-250 words for each of these five subtitles.
