– After analyzing the teaching video, describe 3 different strategies
the teacher used to facilitate student learning.
– Imagine you are teaching a lesson on a topic of your choice. Describe
the lesson and articulate what types of teaching/learning strategies you
would use to build long-term retention and to facilitate learning for the
students in your own classroom?
– Now consider the biblical approach to education to inform your
thoughts on this topic. Consider a passage of Scripture and/or a fruit of
the spirit to support your approach to implementing these teaching and
learning strategies.
Watch the video and write at least 150 words in response to each
question/prompt. Responses are to follow current APA format and include a
title page and reference page. You must cite at least 1 source in current
APA format. You may use the textbook and/or scholarly journal articles as
sources. When citing the Bible, list the reference followed by the version
of the Bible. For example, you would write (Psalm 78:72, King James
Version) or (Isaiah 40:28-31, New International Version). Remember, you are
not to list the Bible in your list of references according to the most
recent edition of the APA Manual since the Bible is considered a classic

Summarizing was the first type of reading strategy that the teacher in the video used to enhance the learning capacity of the student. According to Pearson Education (n.a), the essence of utilizing this approach was to help the student to identify and remember the most important parts of the reading material. The benefit of using the summarizing strategy includes the potential to improve the abilities of the student to understand the elements of an event in ways that would allow them to retain the information for long periods. Also, it is a useful way for reducing the content of the story. The second strategy used by the teacher in the video was the use of visual aids of the verbs and behaviors that the students should develop to facilitate their learning capacity. In this modeling approach, the teacher starts by practicing the words through the display of characters that show their meaning. As the students observe and practice same, their level of knowledge improves naturally. Thirdly, the teacher facilitated the learning of the students by giving them to review and examine their progress in the activities. This part of the overall strategy was necessary for answering the questions associated with the purpose of the exercise……….
