Volcanoes are disasters that take place almost every year in different parts of the world which result in massive losses to human. Some of the losses are usually temporary while other remains to be permanent. A volcano is a type of rupture within the earth that permits hot lava, gases, and volcanic ashes to escape from a chamber of magma. There are three major kinds of volcanoes which include the composite, dome and shield volcanoes. In the world, there are several volcanoes recorded in history such as Tambora and Krakatoa in Indonesia that took place in 1815 and 1833 respectively. There is also St. Helens Mountain that is in the United States which is also among the most hazardous volcanoes. The paper will discuss a significant volcano found in Mount Etna found in Italy, it effects on the earth, its damages and death trolls, economic impacts and its permanent consequences………
