Challenges that are to be expected in my Christmas Supply chain operations is a high demand of orders from consumers which can lead to a shortage in product from retailers and suppliers. Making it difficult for consumers to purchase the products that are desired. Transportation of products can also be faced with backlash as well. Due to the high demand, closed port terminals and slow cross-bordering transportation of material are being effected with delays and backorders. These many challenges can also lead to the lack of consumers satisfaction. Consumers are receiving product later than expected which causes negative feedback and concerns for the service that customers are receiving.

One of the biggest challenges I have faced over the last two years is acquiring parts for a gaming computer or even a console. There were already lingering supply shortages for microprocessors, and none of what happened these last few years has helped. The only way to acquire a new graphics processing unit or a new console is to either buy one from scalpers at twice the price, or wait a full day outside a store, and I do not have time for that. Even if I do manage to buy one of these units at MSRP, who knows when I will actually get my hands on one, as Christmas is here, which places an even larger strain on shipping costs and delivery times. It’s not looking good this year, I may end up waiting it out a third year.
