What is one thing about the concept of intrepreneurs that you did not know that you found most interesting and why?

Entrepreneurial leaders tend to have a common attribute of letting what does not truly matter slide. In essence, they are able to prioritize and make decisions based on what is important – whether that be personally or professionally. Many successful entrepreneurial leaders will prioritize their work with lists that they update regularly to reflect where they should focus their time and energy to achieve the greatest impact. These leaders have life skills that go beyond keeping lists to maintain priorities; however, they have an inherent ability to live life on their own terms, thus paving way for a life that is focused and purposeful.
Letting the small things slide is found in work or other priorities that compete for entrepreneurial leaders’ time and thoughts. Entrepreneurial leaders appear to have a view of the future but are also realistic in what today’s challenges mean to them as well as those around them. After communicating with an entrepreneurial leader, most depart with a sense of ease and confidence that came from the interaction, that somehow, unbeknownst to the entrepreneurial leader, made everything okay.
When I talk with entrepreneurial leaders, they seem to have been grounded in what really matters not just to them but also to me. They are able to help me stop evaluating myself by the circumstances of the moment but more so help me to see the fullness of my potential. They offer inspiration for me to have faith and to know that it is possible to achieve my goals and to fulfill my vision. Entrepreneurial leaders somehow seem to know how to help others go make great things happen.
Entrepreneurial leaders also have a common view of how they see what is in front of them as compared to how others see the same things. Entrepreneurial leaders solve the obvious problems others seem to ignore yet do so in a manner by seeing those obvious problems as unique opportunities. These leaders look at what has happened and then change the future by doing something different at that moment.
One’s context of a given situation dictates their approach. If one sees problems all the time, they tend to be in the “fixing” or “correcting” frame of mind. Problems are often the fault of a system or of people. This blame game tends to be a common approach when looking at who is responsible for overcoming problems. Problems need to be corrected for efficiency and effectiveness, but oftentimes they are “fixed,” only to return later – much like a fire that has been put out but reignites later.
Entrepreneurial leaders learn from the past but don’t relive it. When entrepreneurial leaders view a past situation as an opportunity, they tend to see exactly how to improve upon the situation or to arrive at a more pleasant outcome. Entrepreneurial leaders not only see the opportunity; they also identify and remove the root cause instead of merely eliminating a symptom of the problem. Seeing the chance for improvement is a forward-looking opportunity; problem solving focuses on the present alone.
