-Many people are concerned that medical records could be 'hacked' and medical information could be used against people in terms of hiring, insurance, stigma. Health Information and Analytics. If you have worked in healthcare for any length of time, you know that the most common
way medical information is disclosed accidentally is through human error (talking on the elevator, walking down the hall, etc.) One of the ideas put forward was the
creation of a unique medical identifier per individual patient that travels with them
wherever they go in the healthcare system. This was going to be part part of the ACA
but was abandoned because of causing too many waves.
-What are your thoughts, experiences, on medical privacy?
-Do you see us going towards developing a biometric ID, or perhaps an implantable
chip?
