You will be required to write two 4 page (double spaced) position papers in which you will evaluate literature on the issue presented on your side (affirmative, you are arguing YES, emotional intelligence is valid). Based on what is relevant to the symposium, your paper should include a description of the views on the topic and its causes as well as the history of the issue, and implications to relevant populations. The purpose of the short position papers is to refine your ability to present an argument and defend it with evidence. I will provide a detailed rubric for this paper via Blackboard.
